What We Believe

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God and inerrant in the original writings. We believe that there is one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.

The Plan of Salvation

God has laid out a simple plan in the New Testament for all those who believe to be saved. Many believe that faith alone or prayer is sufficient for the soul’s salvation; however, the Bible goes beyond that, and we believe that you must take everything the Bible says about salvation and apply it to our lives. Again, it is not a complicated matter and you don’t have to take our word for it, look for yourself:

1. Hear

Rom 10:14 “How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?”

2. Belief

John 8:24 “I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if you believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.”

3. Repent

Luke 13:3 “I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.”

4. Confess

Rom 10:10 “For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation.”

5. Baptism

Mark 16:16 “He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved. He that believeth not shall be damned.”

Acts 2:38 “Then Peter said unto them, Repent and be baptized every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”

1 Peter 3:21 “The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:”

Once you have been added to the church by the Lord, you must remain faithful to the best of your ability, and repent when you fall. We all sin (1 John 1:8); however, it is what we do after we sin that separates the faithful from the world (James 5:16).

6. Keep the faith

Rev 2:10 “Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.
